The Bill Burby Inspirational 10K and 5K Run/Walk has been a tradition of the Vashon Strawberry Festival for over 30 years.  The challenging USATF certified course follows looping scenic country roads with some hills.  The race was named to honor Bill Burby, a beloved coach, teacher and one of the race founds who died unexpectedly of cardiac arrest in 1989.

The start and finish line is easy to find on the main highway, just north of town, at the corner of Vashon Highway SW and SW  Gorsuch Road (the VYFS Playspace).  The race starts promptly at 9:00 AM, Saturday, July 20th and is finished in time to enjoy the Strawberry Festival parade!  Adult registration fees, including T-shirt, are $20 in advance/$30 day–of-race and $15 in advance/$20 day-of-race for 18 and under.  Register online at http://www.billburbyrace.org
